GENERAL WORK HISTORY INFORMATION

I worked with my father, Louis J. (Larry) Adler, and Robert F. Claraval in a general law practice since 1983. My brother, Craig, joined us in 1992. I started a solo practice in 2010. My practice focuses on elder law, estate planning and administration, real estate development, business planning , contract work, and the litigation associated with those fields. I have trial experience with the Court of Common Pleas, arbitration panels and district justices. I have served as counsel to the Pennsylvania Milk Marketing Board periodically since 1987 in the capacity of hearing examiner and staff and Board attorney. I have been a member of the Board of Arbitrators for the Dauphin County Court of Common Pleas, hearing and deciding cases assigned to the Board under the Dauphin County Rules of Court.

I also serve as a mediator. I have received training through the Lancaster Mediation Center, the Dauphin County Bar Association, and Neighborhood Dispute Settlement (NDS) mediator continuing education. I have served as a mediator in cases ranging from neighborhood disputes to six party real estate controversies to estate settlement matters. I enjoy the part of mediation that brings parties together through a process that elicits solutions from the disputants - a balance to the litigation part of my practice. I bring the experience of my law practice of thirty years with closely held businesses, estate administration, the elderly in transition, real estate, litigation and general contract disputes to the mediation table. I also currently serve as the chair of the Probate and Estates committee for the Dauphin County Bar Association.
